About CAVMBC


 

The objects for which The Chinese American Veterans Memorial Building Committee, NYC, Inc. (CAVMBC) is formed are as follows:

  • to purchase or erect and maintain a building as a memorial to perpetuate the memory of persons of Chinese Ancestry who served in the armed forces of the United States of America, in World War I, World War II, or any other war or conflict in which the United States has been engaged; and

  • to provide permanent Headquarters for The American Legion, Department of New York, Lt. B. R. Kimlau Chinese Memorial Post 1291, Inc. (Kimlau Post 1291); and

  • to act as a community center by providing services and support to the Chinese Communities in the New York Metropolitan area.
