Scholarship Program

 

 

Purpose:

 

The objective of the scholarship program shall be to encourage our members and their progeny to successfully pursue higher education.

 

Applicant qualifications:

 

A scholarship applicant must be a member of the post, the spouse of a member, or the child or grandchild of a current member in good standing.  Progeny of deceased member who was born before the member’s death may apply for a onetime scholarship. The applicant is required to provide necessary documents to validate the member’s decease date and their relationship to the member. Candidates may either be undergraduate students or graduating secondary school students who meet the requirements outlined below.

 

Academic Qualifications:

 

Candidates must meet the following academic standard(s): (A) Graduating secondary school students must demonstrate a grade average of 85 % / B+ and a cumulative  SAT score of 75% (based on the current scale in effect) or greater. In the event if ACT was the only aptitude test taken by the student, an equivalent of the SAT score is required.  (B) College undergraduate students must demonstrate a grade point average of 3.5 / B+ or greater for the preceding academic year consisting of 24 or more credits.

 

Application Period:

 

Applications must be submitted to the Scholarship Committee by August 31st of each year.

Candidates shall submit a Scholarship application form together with an official school transcript of the previous academic year to:
